“A close-up shot of a perfect 3D oil painting, featuring a vertically split-screen composition with two contrasting portraits of actress Sydney Sweeney. The canvas, with its rich, impasto brushwork, captures her with precision. On the left side, her expression is serious and composed, with dark blonde hair tied back, wearing a black structured jacket and a diamond necklace, looking directly forward. The background is a soft, undefined blur of greens and ochres. On the right, her expression shifts to a genuine, open-mouthed smile, with some of her hair loose, wearing a similar jacket and necklace. She looks to the side, laughing, and her face is brighter and more animated. The background on the right is a mix of warm terracotta and cream tones. The entire piece is rendered as a single, large 3D oil painting on a stretched canvas, showcasing the thick application of paint and the detailed features of both depictions. It is set in an art gallery, framed by a classic, ornate gilded wood frame, with the gallery lighting highlighting the canvas texture. The painting is displayed on a light cream wall, with a small brass plaque below, which reads: SYDNEY SWEENEY - TWO STATES OF BEING, BY SARAH J. REED, OIL ON CANVAS, 2023. A partial view of other indistinct paintings and the lower part of a visitor's shoulder in the blurred background. The painting fills most of the frame.”
